Berthoud High School has an excellent Instrumental program. We have an award winning Concert Band, hopping Jazz Band and growing Orchestra. We have space for every student who wants to play an instrument. Our concert band has performed in the Colorado Bandmaster Association’s Regional Festivals.
The director will always encourage students to take private lessons for their instrument. They do learn in class, but the limits of time don't include individual instruction. Many times students can get that extra assistance at private instruction lessons.
Students wear school-owned uniforms that have been purchased and stored at Berthoud High School. These uniforms are custom hemmed for the student, and this process will take place in August, to give the volunteers enough time to hem all the pants and dresses.
The Suit Uniform is a black suit with a black shirt. Students also need the following items from home: Black socks and dress shoes - no boots, casual shoes are allowed.
The Dress uniform is a full length black and burgundy satin dress. Students will need a pair of closed toed, all black dress shoes to wear with their uniform. Flats or Heels are ok - no boots, casual shoes are allowed.

All concerts take place at Berthoud High School at the Auditorium. Please see the calendar for times and schedule.
