The Spartan Music Boosters is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt non-profit organization recognized by the IRS as an educational charity. Membership is automatic for all parents of enrolled BHS music students. Meetings are monthly, and are usually held online or in person, and we make decisions about fundraising, scheduling, upcoming events and more. Due to the cycle of students graduating from BHS, parents are encouraged to come and learn from the parents of the upperclassmen to maintain the consistency of the Booster Program.
All parents, family members, friends, and alumni are encouraged to attend meetings and volunteer! Your active support directly benefits every student and the band program's success.
We need your help! The Boosters provide crucial support by raising essential funds through volunteer-run activities to offset the rising costs of maintaining our award-winning programs. We actively fundraise to pay expenses not covered by the district or school.
The Boosters do a lot for all the students in the Music Program at BHS:
Handling logistics (transportation, props, food, operations, communication), allowing Directors to focus 100% on instruction and students,
Organizes chaperones for various events throughout marching, concert, winter competition and show choir festival season,
Facilitates travel, meals and drinks during competitions and festivals,
Hosts a Show Choir festival (TBD), and a simple cookie table at many concerts throughout the year,
Coordinates uniform and equipment ordering, including uniform alteration and cleaning,
Facilitates communication between Directors, Students, and Families through the website and SportsYou App.
