Berthoud Winter Guard

Winter guard is the indoor, competitive version of color guard that performs choreographed routines with flags, sabers, and mock rifles to recorded music. It's the standalone version separate from a marching band. It's a sport that combines dance, athletics, and artistic expression, and its competitive season typically runs from late winter through spring. Winter Guard is perfect for those with gymnastics, dance and cheer backgrounds.


The Winter Guard season runs from December - April, with interest meetings and experience camps starting at the beginning of November. Berthoud's Winter Guard participates in the Rocky Mountain Color Guard Association circuit and performs in about 3 competitions a year.
